Another liberal lawmaker has been exposed using nasty racist terms for black Americans.
Just weeks after the Virginia governor and attorney general both admitted to dressing in black face… now this!? It’s starting to get embarrassing for liberal Democrats.
Maryland lawmaker Del. Mary Ann Lisanti, Democrat, apologized on Monday for allegedly calling Prince George’s County a “n***** district,” among a group of racially mixed lawmakers. Del. Lisanti, who is white, allegedly told colleagues that Del. Jay Walker, Democrat, had went door to door in a “n***** district.”
Her excuse for the comments?
Lisanti claims she doesn’t remember much of the night the incident occurred… but didn’t even deny that she’s used the racial slur among colleges. Everyone in the Democratic Party does it, she says.
“I’m sure I have,” she said. “I’m sure everyone has used it. I’ve used the f-word. I’ve used the Lord’s name in vain.”
The virtue signaling of social justice — once so convenient for Democrats — is turning sour on them.
Imagine the outrage if a Republican was caught making a similar statement about black Americans.
They wouldn’t just apologize and say, “Oh, gee, doesn’t everyone say that?” — there’d be riots in the streets!
And it begs the question: just how deep-seeded is the racism within the Democratic party?
Ovetta Wiggins of The Washington Post first reported the story, which claims that the comment came at an Annapolis cigar bar, according to the Legislative Black Caucus of Maryland.
