Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel told the 2019 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) crowd that Democratic lawmakers were giving a lot of gifts to conservatives — because their bungling is turning voters away.
But it’s important for Republicans to have the courage to speak up and capitalize on Democrat mistakes.
“The Democrats are giving us a lot of gifts right now,” McDaniel said. “But we can’t take [Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] for granted”
“We have to get out there and educate” American voters, she said.
Democrats promise everything – free healthcare, free everything – but if Americans aren’t careful “it will bankrupt us.”
The RNC chief told the crowd what it takes to win.
“We’ve got to be out talking” to neighbors, McDaniels told the crowd. “Liberals will try and shame us for being Republican… so that we’re afraid to speak.”
“But if we don’t the Democrats will take us down a path so that we won’t recognize our nation anymore,” she warned.
That’s when she turned on the biggest issue that Democrats have been pushing – legalizing the “late-term abortion” of newborn babies.
“But it’s not late-term abortion,” she said. “It’s murder.”
“We need to speak about it in those terms,” McDaniels continued. “What the Democrats just did this week by not voting to protect children when they’re born, that is despicable.”
“Republicans stand for life. They stand for humanity,” she said. “They stand up for those that are the most vulnerable, like a brand-new baby.”
“This issue goes beyond pro-life and pro-choice,” the RNC chairwoman concluded. “There are people in this country that disagree about that. But on a due date, when a mother is giving birth, to say that’s the time to terminate… that is reprehensible.”
“Democrats have stayed silent because they’re so beholden to Planned Parenthood and the progressive wing of their party,” she said.
It’s up to Republicans to make them answer for the murder of newborns.
If they do, there’s no way Democrats can win at the ballot box.
