It’s another reason why law enforcement deserves our respect.
Because every time they approach a suspect, they have no idea what they’re walking into.
Case in point? Federal law enforcement officers operating in Washington, D.C., as part of the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force, recently stopped Jose Ramos for having an open beer container in a public park.
It seemed like a minor infraction… but things got intense fast.
Officers soon learned that Ramos was wanted on murder charges over the killing of his neighbor — and police had been hunting him for weeks.
Amazingly, some nosy neighbors who didn’t understand the situation even tried to interfere with Ramos’ detainment — and one even approached with a baseball bat.
You can watch the whole tense exchange below.
There's video circulating on Insta of a tense scene in Mt. Pleasant last night: More than a dozen federal agents were in Lamont Plaza arresting a man for an open container violation.
A woman holding a bat began heckling them, prompting US Marshals to draw their guns on her. pic.twitter.com/tCwyRVeA2s
