The boycott of Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE:BUD) beer — specifically Bud Light — has been extremely effective. After Bud Light waded into the culture war by endorsing transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney in April, sales numbers have crashed.
It has gotten so bad, you can’t even give away Bud Light for free.
Conservative radio star Clay Travis performed an experiment recently by offering free beer to eventgoers in Nashville on Monday.
A cooler filled with three different beer brands was offered with no strings attached — Michelob Ultra, Yuengling, and Bud Light. Travis posted a video showing the stocked cooler at 6:45 p.m.
A second video, taken at the end of the evening, shows only Bud Lights left in the cooler.
No one wants to even be seen with a Bud Light… even if it’s free.
“Weekend experiment. Beers in cooler at Nashville area event,” Travis wrote on Twitter. “Pick which beer you want.”
“No one would take the Bud Light all night long,” he said. “Big issue going forward for Bud Light is many don’t even want to be seen with product. They just pick another brand.”
“I’m not a marketing expert but the only beer left at the … event – Bud Light,” Travis later wrote at 10:15 p.m. “Not ideal. Not good.”

Consumption of Bud Light has crashed over 25 percent since they endorsed Mulvaney, a huge blow to the brand.
Before the conservative boycott, Bud Light was the most popular beer brand in the United States.
“I think this is a warning to all brands out there that have learned over the past 20 years or so there are no consequences for going super woke in terms of trying to appeal to the far left wing in this country,” Clay told Fox News.
