Conservative activist Candace Owens is considering a run for Congress.
During the Wuhan virus pandemic, Owens says she is fed up with what she calls the lies and failure of Democratic leadership. And in her announcement, she has teased who exactly she may be gunning for.
She’s warned: “I’m going to come for your seats.”
In an interview with BlazeTV’s Glenn Beck, she confirmed her interest in a political bid and mentioned that she was born and raised in the New York City area.
Her comments could indicate that she may choose to challenge Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., in what would be a Congressional showdown of young, media-savvy superstar politicians.
But Owens claims her run isn’t personal. Though she vehemently disagrees with Ocasio-Cortez on nearly every issue, Owens says she would base her decision off one thing: Damage control.
“It comes down to where are they [Democrats] doing the most damage,”she said, “how can I effect the most change?”
So the idea to run for political office means that every liberal lawmaker is potentially vulnerable to a challenge from Owens.
“I’m not just going to send you guys tweets,” Owens elaborated. “I’m going to come for your seats. And you better come ready because it’s not about money anymore. And there’s no pocket you’ll be able to hide your corruption that I won’t be able to fish it out.”
Her goal in this al is to restore family values to America, Owens said.
“What I would say, above all else, is family is such an important topic.”
Owens has long-been a pro-life advocate, particularly for African-American families. She delivers her messages with hopes of convincing minority Democrats the danger of left-wing ideas.
“… people don’t understand how the Democrat policies, and their strategic breakdown of the family, leads to everything that you see,” she said.
