CNN prime-time host Chris Cuomo has confirmed he tested positive for the coronavirus.
The CNN anchor said he would continue working through the illness.
Cuomo, who did his 9 p.m. Eastern show remotely Monday, reported that he had a fever, chills, and shortness of breath.
By late Tuesday morning he confirmed his infected status through a Twitter message.
It read:
“Sooooo in these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out I am positive for coronavirus. I have been exposed to people in recent days who have subsequently tested positive and I had fever, chills and shortness of breath. I just hope I didn’t give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness! I am quarantined in my basement (which actually makes the rest of my family seem pleased!) I will do my shows from here. We will all beat this by being smart and tough and united.”

If there was any positive takeaway from the stunning diagnosis, it was that critics across the political landscape stopped fighting and sent well wishes to the CNN star.
Even those who disagree with Cuomo’s politics (like us here at The Horn News).
Instead, prayers for his good health poured in, particularly from conservative activists.
“Good luck man,” wrote John Wright. “Usually against you politically, & I will continue, but want you & yours to be ok. God Bless.”

And Ben Thankan of Twitter was able to pray Cuomo a speedy recovery even though he is “fake news.”

Cuomo’s older brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, has been one of the most visible political figures during the pandemic. He appeared on his brother’s show remotely on Monday.
The two have made somewhat of a tradition by speaking to each other on the program amid the Wuhan virus pandemic.
The governor discussed his younger brother during his daily press briefing Tuesday morning.
“He’s a really, sweet beautiful guy, and he’s my best friend,” the governor said of his brother.
