It’s the video CNN host Chris Cuomo doesn’t want on the internet. The footage caught Cuomo’s embarrassing meltdown after President Donald Trump’s White House called him fake news to his face.
Now, the video is going viral — and it threatens to destroy the last shred of credibility CNN has left.
Ouch.
Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney appeared on Cuomo’s show Thursday and confronted the CNN star about his network’s campaign of misinformation — and Cuomo lost his cool.
Cuomo challenged Mulvaney about Trump’s criticism of the mainstream media regarding the relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Mulvaney responded that CNN and the liberal media deliberately show the “bad stuff” and refuse to show the good work the Trump administration has been doing.
The allegations that Cuomo was fake news made the anchor visibly angry — and he couldn’t contain himself.
According to The Daily Caller, that’s when Cuomo’s unhinged meltdown began.
“That’s not what you do in a situation like this! You report reality! That’s not being done to you or the president, Mick, to embarrass you,” Cuomo yelled in his guest’s face. “Whatever’s being done is not enough — and if you don’t know that now you’re never gonna know it!”
“Well the good news is you’re clearly going to do a better job going forward and we appreciate that,” Mulvaney shot back.
“When you say some of this reporting is fake… It’s disingenuous and it’s not true! Don’t call it fake because it’s not fake,” Cuomo whined.
“Everybody gets that it’s going to take time –but you know what else people get? You could have had more people there!” he said.
