Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly criticized the mainstream media last week for completely ignoring the horrific rape of a 14-year-old girl by two illegal immigrants in Maryland.
But now CNN is striking back, and claiming it was wrong of Fox to inform the public of the disgusting crime!
This loony liberal logic stems from the unsubstantiated claim that Fox would use the robbery of this young girl’s innocence to push a political agenda.
In other words, the truth hurts liberal causes… so CNN believes it should be censored.
CNN media analyst Brian Stelter slammed Fox on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday, claiming their coverage of the rape by illegals was motivated by a desire for secure borders.
Really!? Apparently at CNN, if you’re reporting factual news, it must be politically driven.
“Rapes and assaults and murders are local news stories on a daily basis. But when do they break through to become national news, and when do they not?” Stelter questioned, implying Fox twisted the story, “sometimes tying it to the president’s immigration agenda.”
While he’s right in the fact that Fox reported extensively on the rape story, they also reported on case details that paint the victim’s accusations as invalid.
Fox News reported Monday that the defense in the case is claiming the victim actually sent text messages about sex and explicit pictures to her alleged attackers in what appears to be fair reporting on both sides’ versions of the story.
CNN’s entire argument rests on the fact that the brutal rape by two immigrants who are in our nation illegally is not national news, even though it received national coverage.
The story was reported in The Los Angeles Times, The Winston-Salem Journal, The Boston Herald, WTOP, The Horn News and many others nationwide.
What stands out more is the lack of coverage by CNN and MSNBC, both notoriously liberal news sources. Critics say the networks are ignoring the story because it exposes illegal immigrants as dangerous.
