Chelsea Clinton studied at Stanford, Oxford, Columbia and NYU.
But it seems the most important education she ever received may have been at home, where she learned from the very best when it comes to government corruption and abuse of power.
Just as Bill and Hillary Clinton used their decades of public service to enrich themselves and their friends, a friend of Chelsea Clinton conveniently got some “help” from the highest levels of government.
And this “help” came in the form of MILLIONS of dollars in taxpayer money!
The Daily Caller is reporting that the U.S. Department of Defense dished out $11.2 million in contracts to Long Term Strategy Group, a company run by Jacqueline Newmyer.
How close is Newmyer to the former first daughter?
In 2011, Chelsea Clinton told Women’s Wear Daily that their relationship goes back to at least 1995, when they were students together at the elite Sidwell Friends School.
“Jackie and I are still best friends,” Clinton gushed to the website while attending a Shakespeare play. “She was in my wedding, and I was in hers.”
Looks like their friendship extends far beyond wedding invitations and Shakespeare.
The Daily Caller found that the Long Term Strategy Group was given the millions in contracts by a secretive Defense Department think tank called the Office of Net Assessment, which reports directly to the Secretary of Defense.
Even worse, it seems the company was given these projects despite the fact that it doesn’t have approval to handle classified materials, the website reported.
The company’s grants go back to at least 2007, when Hillary Clinton was a highly influential senator from New York and Congress was controlled by Democrats.
That relationship seems to have only grown when Clinton took over as secretary of state.
Emails released by the State Department show Clinton put Newmyer in touch with Michèle Flournoy, who at the time was President Barack Obama’s undersecretary of defense.
“I am seeing Michele Tuesday at 3 pm,” Newmyer wrote in one message. “Thank you very much for making this happen.”
In another message, she gushed: “Thank you again for all your encouragement and help with DoD. I met with Michele’s other deputy yesterday, and we had a productive discussion about Iran and developments in maritime Asia. We also discussed contract vehicles and mapped out what we need to do so that we can go to work! I am very grateful for everything you have done.”
And in still another: “I am extremely grateful to you for helping me find opportunities to serve our government.”
It’s pretty clear Clinton played a key role on what turned out to be a very lucrative relationship… but then again, that’s how the Clintons have always operated.
“By now there is a strong pattern of Hillary Clinton showing bias in the dispensing of government funds and favors to a long list of friends, political supporters, and Clinton Foundation donors,” Ken Boehm, chairman of the National Legal and Policy Center, told the Washington Free Beacon last year in response to early reports on this relationship.
“It looks like she was single-handedly trying to revive the corrupt spoils system,” he said. “As the old saying goes, sometimes things are what they look like.”
