These days, misinformation and fear mongering are a common tactic from Democrats.
Since the election, for example, President Donald Trump himself has been attacked by at least 16 different “fake news” stories by major media outlets.
Now former first daughter Chelsea Clinton has been caught jumping into the shameful fray — and she seems unapologetic about it.

Wednesday, Clinton retweeted a link shared by science journalist Laurie Garrett with an alarming warning — Garrett, a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, claimed that entire sections of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s website was deleted, presumably on the order of the Trump administration.
It's really happening — sections of @NOAA #climate data are disappearing from fedl website. https://t.co/60SOeVFNge#sciencematters pic.twitter.com/tPU82NOUwi

The link was quickly shared over 1,500 times by Clinton’s followers.
And it’s completely fake.
In fact, Garrett’s fear mongering is the very definition of fake news. The issue she was reporting on was simply a typo that caused a broken link — far more mundane than a Machiavellian plot by Trump to destroy science.
With no need to gather the facts, though, thousands of Clinton supporters were thrown into a panic over an imagined plot by the Republican administration to silence science data.
To her credit, Clinton later responded to a correction after Twitter users criticized the fear mongering.

Good news (that hopefully stays good news). Thank you Amanda for the update https://t.co/28rWDF55pA

But the damage was done. The fake news tweet received over a thousand retweets, ten-times the attention the redaction received an hour later.
Folks, this is exactly how liberals work – they whip up fear on falsehoods and lies.

The truth doesn’t matter, only feelings. And once they’ve played the public outrage like a fiddle — once the damage is done — they quietly cover themselves.
Then they quickly move on to the next subject… for example, accusing Attorney General Jeff Sessions of wanting to put children into chain gangs.
Chain gangs?! Life sentences for kids?! Is past prologue? Almost always but let's hope not for our new AG. Stomach churning, necessary read https://t.co/UzXLNZoG78

Nasty isn’t a strong enough word.
This kind of behavior is utterly disgraceful.
