Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade laughed right in former Vice President Kamala Harris’ face Tuesday morning — and nobody could blame him.
When colleague Ainsley Earhardt broke the news that the failed Democratic presidential candidate Harris had just endorsed Los Angeles’ embattled Democratic Mayor Karen Bass for reelection, Kilmeade burst out laughing on live television.
“Da da da da,” a laughing Kilmeade sang to the tune of ESPN’s Monday Night Football theme. “Do you want that endorsement!?”
Bass is one of the most unpopular mayors in Los Angeles history. A recent University of California poll found 47% of Los Angeles residents disapprove of her job performance, while just 24% approve. She has less than 25% of support in the June primary, and reality TV star Spencer Pratt and far-left socialist candidate Nithya Raman are closing fast.
Harris praised Bass and claimed the mayor had cleaned up homelessness in the city and reduced crime – despite, of course, years of rampant homelessness and out of control crime in Los Angeles under Bass.
“Mayor Karen Bass is the leader Los Angeles needs right now. She has done what so many said couldn’t be done — the first-ever two-year decline in homelessness, reducing crime to levels this city hasn’t seen since the 1960s, and refusing to back down when the federal government came after our neighbors,” Harris said.
Kilmeade couldn’t keep a straight face, laughing at the Harris’ lies.
“You mean illegal immigrants, crack down, and refused to let cops work with ICE, causing riot after riot?” he shot back.
Between 2020 and 2025, Los Angeles County lost more residents than any other county in the country. Nearly 100,000 people fled the city of Los Angeles alone, a staggering 2.4% population drop in just five years.
Bass fled the country to Ghana when the California Palisades Fire tore through the city in January 2025. Firefighters attempting to battle the out-of-control blaze were stopped when by an empty local water reservoir, which was dry because of overdue construction work. Twelve of 13 high-priority fire flow and water storage projects in the area remained unfinished before the blaze. Twenty percent of hydrants in the area completely failed during firefighting efforts.
Bass then faced allegations in February that she directed the “watering down” of the official after-action report on the fire to silence critics and reduce legal liability. Bass has denied the claims.
Harris, who opened the southern border for years and sent hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants into American cities like Los Angeles, praised Bass for standing up to federal immigration enforcement.
For Kilmeade, the endorsement spoke for itself.
Two of the Democratic Party’s most visible “woke” failures, rallying to support each other as Los Angeles burns.
