President Joe Biden is destroying U.S. cities, causing American overdoses, and bankrupting U.S. taxpayers one illegal immigrant at a time.
A new report shows just how badly Biden has built back worse: The Biden-Harris administration has spent as much money resettling alleged “refugees” and asylum speakers in the United States as it would have cost to build President Donald Trump’s “big beautiful Wall” on the southern border.
The figures are staggering, ugly—and they’re not even complete.
Joe Biden spent almost $9 billion putting people who say they’re refugees on America’s streets in the fiscal year of 2022. He spent nearly another $11 billion in 2023 for the same purpose, according to an analysis of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) records from the federal watchdog Open the Books.
“The Office of Refugee Resettlement is seeking to expand its mission even further in future years, and far-left members of Congress appear to be on board,” said OpenTheBooks.com Founder & CEO Adam Andrzejewski. “This is creating an endless flow of people seeking help with anything from travel to health care to loans.”
Compare that to the cost of building a border Wall.
Estimates have fluctuated slightly, but in 2017, Reuters announced the most expensive price tag yet: “President Donald Trump’s ‘wall’ along the U.S.-Mexico border would be a series of fences and walls that would cost as much as $21.6 billion, and take more than three years to construct, based on a U.S. Department of Homeland Security internal report,” reported Reuters.
Flashback to 2020, when Democrats said the Wall cost too much, and even said getting rid of the Wall was a financial winner for the U.S. taxpayer.
“Biden order to halt border wall project would save U.S. $2.6 billion,” claimed The Washington Post claimed just weeks after the 2020 election.
Instead of building a border fence, the Biden administration ignored the voice of U.S. voters and let in millions.
Joe Biden has released 6.2 million illegals into the United States during his term as president.
That includes 3.29 million last year alone: 900,000 aliens who surrendered at ports of entry, and 1.1 million who walked across our open border, an estimated 860,000 gotaways, and 430,000 people who initially came to the U.S. legally but overstayed their visas.
That’s just one year in the life of Joe Biden’s America.
Another 1.2 million illegal aliens entered the U.S. in 2021 and 2.7 million more came in 2022, the CBO estimates.
Much to Biden’s shock, Democrats are now paying a little bit of the price for Biden’s open borders policies.
Chicago has spent $138 million on illegal “migrants” between October 2022 and the end of 2023, according to records found by the local CBS News affiliate.
Most of that has gone to giving illegal aliens “free” healthcare and housing.
“One of the estimates I’m seeing is we average about $7,000 a month for each migrant seeking asylum,” said Alderman Ariel Reboyra, a Democrat, last August.
Chicago is running out of space in homeless shelters.
The hypocrisy is so thick that a Republican council member in the uber-affluent suburb of Naperville, Josh McBroom, challenged his pro-amnesty constituents to put their names on a sign-up sheet.
“We do have a very affluent community. We have a lot of big homes,” he said.
Not surprisingly, he hasn’t had a lot of takers.
“I haven’t had a single person say, ‘Where the sign-up sheet, Josh? Is the sign-up sheet ready? I’d like to house migrants in my house,’” McBroom told Fox News on Wednesday.
Naperville Councilman Josh McBroom wants a sign-up list for residents to host illegals in their homes:

The Republican’s tongue-in-cheek offer is just repeating the earnest call of Democratic officials.
New York’s Democratic Mayor Eric Adams, “There are residents who are suffering right now because ofeconomic challenges. They have spare rooms….”
Massachusetts’ Democratic Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll asked people in her state, “If you have an extra room or suite in your home, please consider hosting a family. … Step up if you’re willing to have an additional family be part of your family.”
Didn’t she get the message when Martha’s Vineyard refused to let a whopping 50 illegal aliens stay in their community?

The American people could have had a big, beautiful Wall; instead, we have a massive, ugly deficit.
Trump’s border wall would have slowed the flow of illegal aliens into the U.S. and saved taxpayers money; Biden’s decision to resettle illegals in the U.S. encourages illegals to cross the border and costs you even more money.
American voters need to build a real or virtual wall to keep Joe Biden out of the White House because, in Biden’s America, taxpayers seem to be second-class citizens.
