Failed Texas senatorial candidate Beto O’ Rourke is running for president.
But the truth is that he’s been running for quite some time.
When he was 26, he ran from the law. Tuesday morning, conservative street artist and activist, Sabo, along with his fellow artists, “Unsavory Agents,” erected a colossal billboard of the 2020 candidate. And the picture could be the beginning of the end for O’Rourke’s bid for the White House.
On the corner of Beverly Glen Boulevard and Pico, the embarrassing billboard features O’ Rourke clad in a sombrero as he holds a bottle of tequila, and a fake mustache is placed over his mug.
Beside him, a car is seen violently crashed into a building. And on the other side of him, a mock campaign sigis on full display. The entire reference is to O’Rourke’s drunk driving accident and arrest a little more than two decades ago. The mustache alludes to the fact that O’ Rourke gave himself the nickname “Beto” to appeal to Latino voters.
According to The Houston Chronicle, O’Rourke tried to flee the accident scene.
The title of the billboard: “Beto RUNS.”
The Houston based paper released the report to highlight more specific details, proof that he had created more danger than what was previously reported. He was alleged to have been gunning faster than 75 mph near the U.S.-Mexico border at the time of the crash and arrest, when he slammed into a truck and himself uncontrollably crossed the median into oncoming traffic.
It was then and there when O’ Rourke tried to run to the hills of safe retreat. Upon captivity, he blew a 0.136 and 0.134 on the breathalyzer, far beyond the state legal limit. But he got off easy. It seems he was given favors even before the politics.
In a statement obtained by The Daily Wire, Sabo said, “I can’t help but wonder if Robert Francis ever had a hard day. He grew up having everyone of his troubles fixed by family, and when he left mom and dad he married a billionaire. The billboard makes reference to his hit-and-run DUI charges that either his uncle, a police chief, or his father, a judge, helped him skate out of. BETO is just another John Kerry or worse Ted Kennedy.”
