Explosive evidence brought to light by Special Prosecutor John Durham is proving that the federal government’s probe into Donald Trump’s alleged “collusion” with Russia was based even deeper in lies and deception than we ever knew.
According to testimony in the Durham probe, the FBI launched its investigation into the trumped-up charges after a Democratic attorney lied during a special meeting with a top FBI official. The lawyer allegedly brought the organization a phony story that the Trump organization had a secret computer connection to Alfa Bank, the largest private bank in Russia.
During a meeting on September 19, 2016, a Clinton lawyer named Michael Sussmann, told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker that he had brought the story up on his own and not on the part of any client.
It appears that was a lie… but it wasn’t the only one.
We know that Sussmann provided Baker with a “white paper” outlining the alleged computer link-up between Trump and Russia… but the agents investigating the case say they had no idea the information came from the Hillary campaign lawyer.
They opened up an investigation a week after Sussmann’s chat with Baker, and they say they used a “white paper”…but they thought an independent DOJ source wrote it.
They had no idea it was anti-Trump political propaganda created by the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee.
“The DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE provided the FBI with a white paper that was produced by an anonymous third party,” according to the official document recording their investigation. “According to the white paper, a U.S.-based server that is owned by the TRUMP ORGANIZATION has been communicating with the Russian-based ALFA BANK organization in Moscow, Russia.”
In other words, the agents took the investigation and allegations of collusion seriously, because they thought it came from a neutral civil servant.
That’s allegedly what the FBI brass wanted them to think.
FBI agent Ryan Gaynor testified on Monday that the fake news came from the Clinton campaign under a tight seal of confidentiality — known as a “close hold”—so that absolutely nobody outside the highest echelons of the organization knew it came from Sussmann.
That includes the Chicago office that investigated the claims.
Gaynor said he “not make an argument that we needed to pull the hold at the time,” because he wanted the FBI agents to come up with evidence of the non-existent crime.
That burned the agents, who said they needed to know more about this white paper… because critics say they couldn’t find any proof to substantiate it.
In fact, Heide himself said as much on the stand on Tuesday. He said he had been “unable to substantiate any of the allegations in the white paper.”
“We really want to interview the source of all this information,” Heide asked Gaynor shortly after the investigation opened in 2016. “Any way we can track down who this guy is and how we’re getting this information?”
Gaynor told the agents, in so many words, to mind their own business… and the FBI let them know that the push to investigate Trump went all the way to the very top of the Obama-Biden administration’s bureaucracy.
“People on the 7th floor to include Director (of the FBI, James Comey) are fired up about this server” allegation, another figure in the agency messaged Heide.
This investigation is “not an option—we must do it,” he said.
Heide replied, “We are opening a (counterintelligence) case today,” based on the fake white paper from the Clinton campaign.
The rest is history.
It seems the FBI knew the allegations were fake, but the Obama-Biden administration spied on the Trump campaign for months on end.
The lies leaked into the media, then poured into the media, then capsized the media’s credibility beneath a tidal wave of lies.
A case from Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller paralyzed the Trump administration for two solid years before he told Congress he found no proof of substantiation.
Now, we know former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton personally authorized the lie to go forward.
It was the most successful piece of opposition research in modern political history—and it seems even the FBI was in on it.
What other revelations will Durham bring to light before he closes the books on the Deep State? And who else will he bring down?
