“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
The central voice of the looters and rioters has spoken, and it’s instructing Americans on what to do for the violence to end.
But it’s not George Floyd’s family, who have asked the mobs to end all the violence in George’s name.
It’s not Black Lives Matter, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., or the Congressional Black Caucus.
It’s Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., the former bartender and freshman congresswoman from the Bronx.
Shortly after violence broke out, the rabid left-winger released a video on her Instagram account telling Americans how they’d better vote — and the things they’d better think — if they wanted the riots to end.
“If you’re trying to call for the end of unrest, but you don’t believe health care is a human right, if you’re afraid to say, ‘black lives matter,’ if you’re too scared to call out police brutality, then you aren’t asking for an end of unrest,” she said.
The looting will continue until morale improves, she said.
Americans who want people to stop knocking down their homes and setting their businesses on fire can’t just say the destruction is wrong. They’ll get no mercy from AOC.
If you want mass violence to stop, she’s suggesting you’ll have to scratch her back.
Before the mob spree will end, you have to adopt policies that “liberate people in their lives from the oppression of economic and social inequity.”
In other words, the policies she’s interested in.
AOC rattled off a list of demands that sounded exactly like the Green New Deal and her solution to every other problem she’s ever encountered: more taxes, more big government, and more racial division.
If “you’re out here calling for the end of unrest, then you better be calling for health care as a human right … you better be supporting community review boards” for police. “You better be supporting the end of housing discrimination. You better be standing up to for-profit real estate developers that are intimidating people and trying to evict them from their homes.”
That’s what you’ll do if you know what’s good for you, she threatened.
Anyone against her socialist plan is a “hypocrite” who is “asking for injustice to continue, and for your people to continue to endure the violence of poverty … the violence of police brutality”– and something called “the violence of lack of housing access.”
Poor people are just supposed to keep living with all this “violence” and “not say a damn thing.”
“All you’re asking for is the continuation of quiet oppression,” she said.
She had a few words for the protesters, too.
Of course, she would never “condone violence,” she assured — but she wanted everyone to take a “holistic view of the moment.” Don’t just stop when one injustice is solved. “Let’s create a new world,” she added.
It was a weird flip-flop for AOC, who has been all over the place on the issue of rioting.
First, she supported the marchers.
Then she claimed the riots were really caused by “white supremacists” who supposedly infiltrated Black Lives Matters without standing out.
Finally, she realized that the rioters gave her a great way to maximize her political power and visibility: She’d become their leader.
“AOC has released a list of demands,” tweeted conservative and populist Jack Posobiec. “She is positioning herself as the negotiator for her Antifa friends.”

“Shorter AOC, if you want riots to stop, implement my pet far-left agenda items,” wrote Stacey Lennox at PJ Media. “Ocasio-Cortez’s ridiculous list of demands isn’t about ending the riots. It’s about positioning herself as a leader of the far left.”
AOC thinks she could be the right one to take the revolution home.
So, she’s all but whipping up anti-American protests against poor neighborhoods — like the ones she represents — in order to claw her way into power.
Other political leaders have used mob violence, or even threats of mob violence, into power: Fidel Castro, Mussolini, Robert Mugabe, and tinpot dictators all over the world.
“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sees herself as the Che Guevara of the current moment,” Lennox wrote. “And she’s just telling you what the terms will be under her regime.”
