Are members of Hollywood’s liberal elite finally putting their money where their mouth is?
Just days after actress Eva Longoria claimed she left the United States due in large part to president-elect Donald Trump, another Hollywood elist has packed her bags and left her life in the U.S. behind because of Trump.
Who is the latest entitled member of Hollywood to jump ship?
According to media outlet, The Wrap, former daytime talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres has reportedly already moved into a home in rural England with her wife Portia De Rossi following Trump’s victory.

Per a TMZ report, the main reason for her move was because of Trump’s victory against Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Hollywood couple were reportedly “very disillusioned” with Trump winning, and immediately decided “to get the hell out,” a source told TMZ.
During the election, DeGeneres put her support behind Harris and reportedly donated $3,300 to her campaign, Page Six reported.
The move out of the country by DeGeneres comes on the heels of actress Eva Longoria telling Marie Claire magazine that she’s “privileged” to have the resources to move her family out of what she calls a “dystopian” United States.
Longoria is now splitting her time between Mexico and Spain, according to reports.
Earlier this year, DeGeneres announced that she was walking away from show business with her final stand-up comedy special for Netflix, “Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval.”
However, DeGeneres has been marred in controversy in and around Hollywood.
A Buzzfeed report published in 2020 about “The Ellen Show” claimed it was a “toxic” workplace — full of intimidation and even alleged sexual abuse.
Near the end of her Netflix special, DeGeneres addressed being labeled mean and said that she’d “spent an entire lifetime trying to make people happy. And I’ve cared far too much what other people think of me.”
“So after a lifetime of caring, I just can’t anymore. So, I don’t,” DeGeneres said. “I have a choice of people remembering me as someone who is mean or someone who is beloved … beloved, I chose that.”
DeGeneres closed the show by saying, “I’m so glad I got to say goodbye on my terms.”
