Of all the failures whose fingerprints stained the last presidential election, the biggest loser of 2024 just might be Barack Obama.
It’s no secret that Obama has led the “Biden-Harris administration” from behind the scenes for years, pulling the strings, advising the Cabinet, calling the shots at the Democratic National Convention.
And all his advice blew up in their face, “bigly,” as the president-elect would say.
Now, calls are coming from inside the Democratic Party to get rid of “Obama-era insiders,” ignore the Woke college professor-types, and try to listen to American voters again.
Although he ran as a uniter, Barack Obama divided America with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices, “Critical Race Theory,” radical feminism, transgenderism, and other ultra-liberal philosophies.
He praised illegal alien “Dreamers,” cop-killers, and thugs like Trayvon Martin while attacking Border Patrol agents, cops, and veterans.
America said goodbye to that twice… and now Democrats want to say goodbye to him.
It started a little before the election with one of the most outspoken people in the Democratic Party: former Clinton adviser James Carville.
“The Ragin’ Cajun” helped the Democratic Party of Jimmy Carter and Mike Dukakis seem like a centrist, middle-of-the-road party again under Clinton…and he held nothing back attacking the horrible Obama-Harris campaign.
Just before the election, Carville said Democrats should stop trying to “change dictionaries” and get away from being run by “these faculty lounge people.”
Barack Obama was a law professor—and Michelle Obama seems to think every American has a Ph.D. Mrs. Obama said in a campaign speech in 2008 that, shortly after getting married, she and Barack “found ourselves in a position like most young couples, with our PhDs.” (Less than one-third of Americans have college degrees of any kind.)
But then Kamala Harris lost the election—badly. The vice president’s campaign ended up $20 million in the hole…so she’s still fundraising weeks after getting shellacked in the Electoral College and becoming the first Democrat in 20 years to lose the popular vote.
“We need you to step up today. Yes, today,” said one email, asking Democrats to donate their cash to the “Harris Fight Fund.”
🚨“Two and a half freaking billion dollars.”
James Carville is on the warpath against the Kamala campaign and its torching of billions in donor cash:

Carville is outraged by the campaign’s never-ending fundraising—and said the DNC’s liberal donors “are burnt out” on his podcast, Politicon. “They’re really p**sed now!”
Unlike almost anyone in Washington, Carville had the guts to go back to the source of the Democrats’ electoral problems…and he made it very clear who he had in mind.
One decade ago, the president was Barack Obama.

Pretty soon, the floodgates opened up.
Less than two weeks after the election, former President Bill Clinton said, if Democrats want to win again, they need to get “in better tune with non-college educated America.”
Who do you think he had in mind?

If that’s not clear enough, one of the party’s self-anointed leaders of the future also wants nothing to do with Obama, or anyone near him.
“A lot of people want to bring Obama-era insiders back for party building purposes,” wrote Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
While those folks ran successful presidential campaigns, they also oversaw some of the largest downballot losses in modern times.”
You can say that again.

Party building is different. Look to people w/ recent successes.

During Barack Obama’s two midterm elections in 2010 and 2014, Democrats lost 15 Senate elections and an incredible 93 contests in the House of Representatives—and that’s just at the federal level.
At the state level, according to a report from the National Conference of State Legislatures, the Democratic Party lost 13 governorships and 816 seats in state legislatures during the Obama years.
Even in defeat, Barack Obama refused to let go of power. Instead of going “home” to Chicago, he bought a house in D.C. and kept running the show behind the scenes.
The Democrats did even worse without Obama delivering his campaign speeches, losing (at least) two out of the next three elections.
This November, “common sense defeated left-wing racism. And President Barack Obama’s third term in office–through his senile meat puppet Joe Biden– came to an end,” wrote columnist John Kass. “To win in the future, the Democrats must tear down Obama just as Trump tore down the Bushes. A new Democrat faith must emerge…It must reject the cynical use of race to generate ugly tribalism.”
Bill Clinton led exactly that kind of makeover in 1992. In fact, Clinton might just blame the Obamas’ liberalism for costing his wife the presidency—and him its status as senior wise man.
Bill Clinton even went on the Obamas’ favorite network to tell the party to ignore the Martha’s Vineyard crowd.
“I don’t even believe the real problem is whether you should be more verbally left or center. I think you gotta talk like people talk who will make the difference in the outcome in the election,” normal people, Clinton told MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough on Monday.

Bill Clinton wants to run the DNC instead of the Obamas.
He’s never forgiven them for throwing him out of the party’s leadership. In 2008, he told Ted Kennedy that a few years ago, “this guy would have been carrying our bags.”
Sixteen years and two lost elections later, Bill Clinton—and a lot of his fellow Democrats—want to send Barack Obama packing for good.
