The President Joe Biden administration continues to let down hopeful liberals who were so eager to get rid of former President Donald Trump’s legacy.
Their pie-in-the-sky dreams of free college, taxing the ultra-billionaires, socialism, and open borders are getting a dose of reality in the narrowly-split Senate.
And Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. is the latest Democrat to be angered by the administration.
More specifically, by what Vice President Kamala Harris told illegal immigrants.
In a recent meeting with the President of Guatemala, her most recent comments spoke volumes when she said to those seeking the U.S.-Mexico border not to come.
“Do not come,” she repeated. “Do not come.”
“The United States will continue to enforce our laws and secure our border,” Harris went on to say. “There are legal methods, by which migration can and should occur. But we as one of our priorities, will discourage illegal migration. And I believe if you come to our border, you will be turned back. So let’s discourage our friends, our neighbors, our family members, from embarking on what is otherwise an extremely dangerous journey.”
AOC said that Harris’ words were disappointing.
“This is disappointing to see,” she wrote on Twitter.
“First, seeking asylum at any US border is a 100% legal method of arrival. Second, the US spent decades contributing to regime change and destabilization is Latin America. We can’t help set someone’s house on fire and then blame them for fleeing.”

That’s right. She used the opportunity to place blame for illegal immigration on America.
It was safe to say that Ocasio-Cortez already had her doubts about Biden and Harris (given her support of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-V.t.), but this marks the most public break with the White House.
As the Biden administration continues to struggle to advance their agenda through Congress, eyes will be on the relationships between the socialist far-left of the party and the establishment Democrats fighting to hold onto swing-voting districts.
But there may not be any reconciliation soon.
According to The Daily Caller, the numbers of illegal immigrants were still surging to reckless heights. Nearly 200,000 illegal immigrants have arrived at the U.S. border since April and more than 17,000 were “unaccompanied minors.”
