Actor Alec Baldwin was caught on video threatening comedian Jason Scoop after being heckled about the 2021 “Rust” shooting incident in which Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
In footage posted to social media Monday, Scoop approached Baldwin outside the actor’s New York City home while impersonating Donald Trump, wearing a navy suit and blond wig.
As Baldwin unloaded luggage from an SUV, Scoop teased him about his hate of Trump.
“I will give you a total pardon for murdering that woman if you kiss the ring,” Scoop said in his Trump voice, holding up an oversized ring. He continued heckling Baldwin, saying she was “looking down on me right now, smiling, happy. ‘Thank you for confronting the man who took me out, who killed me.'”
After initially ignoring the provocation, Baldwin eventually snapped and threatened to killed the comedian.
“If this camera wasn’t here, I’d snap your f–king neck in half and break your f–king neck right here. You know that, don’t you?” He then demanded Scoop leave, threatening to “shove that camera up [his] ass.”
The incident comes months after Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter case related to the “Rust” shooting was dismissed in July 2024. Baldwin had pleaded not guilty to the charges, maintaining he did not pull the trigger and was unaware the gun contained live ammunition.
Scoop is known for his Trump impressions and for confronting liberal public figures. Baldwin, 66, famously portrayed Trump on “Saturday Night Live” during his presidency.
