UFO smoking gun? [controversial]

For years, anyone who said out loud that he had seen a UFO was portrayed as completely insane.

Any American who even hinted that he might have seen a ship operated by little green men needed to be carried away by men in little white coats.

Well, not anymore.

The most powerful people in the United States—including at least three former presidents—are saying that flying saucers might have been zipping through American skies for the last few decades.

“We’ve reached a tipping point in the phenomenon” of alien visitation, said Mark Rodeghier, scientific director at the Center for UFO Studies.

Government agencies have reports coming out; videos show strange, unexplained phenomenon taking place in the skies; and ex-presidents are speaking up about the information they’ve seen on the issue of alien visits to our planet.

U.S. soldiers have reported seeing flying objects they could not identify for decades…and the government has all their testimony on file, usually sealed tight.

But some videos have started to go public, and the silence is breaking.

Just two years ago, sailors on the USS Omaha shot video of a UFO suddenly disappearing, which U.S. officials have said is real footage.

Three other videos—including one of an object flying at unheard-of speeds before flipping end-over-end—have also made the rounds.

“We take reports of incursions, whether they’re by known aircraft or unidentified aerial phenomenon, very seriously,” said Pentagon spokesman John Kirby, according to The Washington Times. “We don’t publicly discuss the details of these unexplained aerial phenomenon observations or the examinations” of federal officials.

Then there’s testimony from former high-ranking government officials.

“There are instances where we don’t have good explanations for some of the things that we’ve seen,” admitted former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe

Former Department of Defense official Luis Elizondo told Tucker Carlson that “the United States government is in possession of exotic material” related to aliens.

He didn’t say if it’s unusual technology, a full ship, or something even more “exotic.”

And finally, three ex-U.S. presidents have said something is happening in the heavens above us.

Jimmy Carter said he saw a UFO in 1973. Last week, Barack Obama told a late-night TV show that the government has “footage and records of objects in the skies that we don’t know exactly what they are.” And Donald Trump said he’d seen one “hell of a video” on that subject.

U.S. presidents “don’t comment on things they don’t have to,” Rodeghier said.

You can say that again! Half the time presidents don’t comment on major issues of the day—and, if they do, they don’t really say anything.

The Defense Department and a bunch of U.S. intelligence agencies are supposed to make—if not everything, then at least a lot more—information public next month, when it hands a report on the topic over to Congress. Another report from the DoD’s Inspector General Office on how the government dealt with the issue of UFOs is coming soon, too.

Skeptics have written off the revelations as part of foreign intelligence, or a distraction by U.S. government officials from the way the United States if falling apart.

But two-thirds of Americans say they believe there is life on other planets, according to several studies over the years, and interest in the subject keeps building every single year.

“There is this manifest interest in the subject. And let’s face it: It’s not because it might be Chinese or Soviet drones or secret technology,” Rodeghier told the Times.

The X-Files always said, “The truth it out there.”

Will we finally get to see some of it on this controversial subject?
