Trump moved out of Mar-a-Lago Sunday… to deep blue state

Former President Donald Trump officially moved out of Florida on Sunday after a Mother’s Day brunch with his wife, former First Lady Melania Trump, and his youngest son, Barron.

After their meal, Trump was seen getting on a private plane to fly to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey where he’ll live — and continue to run political fundraisers — until the Fall.

Because of the summer heat, Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort officially closes for the season after Memorial Day weekend.

The 45th president will reside at his New Jersey golf course until his Florida resort re-opens. Aides were reportedly seen carrying boxes onto the private plane, matching prior reports that he was planning to move to deep blue New Jersey soon.

“The main house will close till the fall and the Trumps will depart to spend the summer at their club in Bedminster,” an insider told The Daily Mail.

Trump’s move back to New Jersey isn’t unusual. He has been spending winters in Florida and summers back north for the past twenty years or so, insiders say.

It is unclear if wife Melania and Barron have already joined the former president, or whether they will join him shortly. His daughter, Ivanka, currently lives in a property at the Bedminster resort with her husband Jared.

Trump’s move to New Jersey comes just days after he was named a “bona fide” employee of the Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago resort, which legally entitles him to live there as a full-time resident.

Some neighbors had tried to stop Trump from moving into the area, but after “reviewing a 1993 declaration of use agreement between Palm Beach, Trump and his Mar-a-Lago Club, Town Attorney John C. Randolph ‘offered a legal opinion that the agreement doesn’t specifically prohibit former President Trump from residing at Mar-a-Lago,'” Randolph told local station WPTV.

Trump officially moved to Mar-a-Lago after leaving the White House in January. Since leaving the Oval Office, Trump has spent his time golfing, dining with friends and political allies, and hosting Republican Party fundraisers while he plots his own political future heading towards the 2024 presidential election.
