In an exclusive interview, Fox News star Sean Hannity revealed the secret to the upcoming 2022 election.
Republicans must embrace the “big tent” of former President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” platform or face another loss, Trump told the Fox News host.
Hannity asked Trump if the Republican Party should focus on becoming the party of the working class in America — a shift that started in 2016 when Trump took the party away from establishment Republicans like former Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
“Should this now be the Republican Party agenda?” Hannity asked. “Should anybody that wants to run for the House or the Senate — should they take this ‘Make America Great’ agenda and fight for those things that you fought for the four years you were president?” Hannity asked.
“If they want to win: Yes,” Trump replied.
Trump pointed out the massive demographic shift that happened in Republican voters during his first term.
In 2020 at “the Texas border, we have the biggest Hispanic vote since — as the governor said to me — since Reconstruction,” Trump pointed out. “If you want to win and win big, you have to do that. You have to do it.”
Trump said he’s going to help win back the House in 2022 for the Republican Party.
“We are going to help with the House,” he told Hannity. “I think we have a really good chance.”
“I’m working with everybody, including [House Minority leader] Kevin McCarthy, on taking back the House. Likewise, the Senate is going to be a little bit tougher.”
“I think we have a good shot at the Senate,” he said. “I think we have a really, really good chance at taking back the House.”
Hannity also asked the big question: Is Trump seriously considering a second run in the 2024 election?
“Beyond seriously,” the former president responded.
