President Joe Biden let the dogs out in his return to the White House.
He and First Lady Jill Biden took their two German Shepherds along with them to Washington, D.C — but they’ve already gotten the boot.
The decision to send the dogs back to Delaware was made following an incident in which the three-year-old Major allegedly bit a White House security agent, according to multiple sources.
Apparently, that was enough for both dogs — including 13-year-old Champ — to be exiled back to Wilmington, Delaware.
CNN reported that the dog responsible for the incident had been displaying “aggressive” tendencies ever since entering the White House.
The Bidens rescued the dog in 2018 from a shelter, the first animal to live in the White House that has been rescued.
The Biden family and its dogs in the Whole House had been a major shift from the previous administration. Former President Donald Trump had no pets living in the White House during his tenure.
According to the Bidens, the dogs have had a difficult time in their transition into the White House.
“They have to take the elevator,” she told The Kelly Clarkson Show. “They’re not used to that, and they have to go out on the South Lawn with lots of people watching them. So that’s what I’ve been obsessed with, getting everybody settled and calm.”
Seems like that plan went bad quickly.
