Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton probably wishes she had this explosive moment back.
Weighing in on the controversy surrounding the “canceling” of Dr. Seuss’ beloved children’s books because of racial “insensitivity” they displayed in the 1950s, Hillary tried to dismiss concerns on Thursday.
“The party of ‘Freedom Fries” would like you to know that ‘cancel culture’ is a very serious problem,” she tweeted in response to critics.
It immediately backfired.
Social media users were quick to point out that Hillary is the godmother of “cancel culture.”
After all, they said, she founded the leftist organization Media Matters, which is devoted to digging up dirt on conservative public figures and helped create the modern “cancel culture.”
One of the founders of Media Matters (@MMFA), the godfathers of cancel culture, would like you to know that cancel culture is a hoax.https://t.co/NYioglCcGR

And infamously, she once dismissed rape and sexual assault allegations against her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
Hillary called her husband’s numerous victims “bimbos” and attacked their credibility.
Your husband was accused of rape and you belittled the accusers. Delete your account. https://t.co/zotqUqp6du

Since we’re taking a trip down memory lane, “bimbo eruptions” paved the way for cancel culture. https://t.co/FwEh9yzwBX

Another user said Hillary seemed more concerned about “freedom fries” than the American lives that were lost during the radical Islamic terrorist attack in Benghazi under her watch.
While serving under former President Barack Obama, Hillary falsely claimed the attacks weren’t Islamic terror but were related to YouTube conspiracy theories.
You know what’s a serious problem? Leaving your ambassador and staff to die when they are attacked by terrorists, then blaming their deaths on a YouTube video. That’s a serious problem, you despicable, corrupt human being.
