Rush Limbaugh’s producer shared heartbreaking news on the conservative radio star’s ailing health on Wednesday.
Limbaugh’s battle with terminal lung cancer isn’t going well, longtime producer James Golden — known to Limbaugh’s fans as his pseudonym, Bo Snerdley — shared the sad news on social media.
“Our prayers are with Rush as he continues to fight the illness he [has] been afflicted with,” Golden said on Twitter. “We are still praying for a remission.”
Golden said that conservative activist Ken Matthews would fill in for Rush, and thanked fans for praying for Rush’s health.
“Today @KenMatthews will fill in for Rush. Thanks for all of your prayers, kind words and wishes for our Rush. God Bless you,” he tweeted.

Since his diagnosis, Limbaugh has promised to do his show whenever able. But in October, Limbaugh told listeners his cancer battle had become “unwinnable” and that it was only a matter of time before he lost his life.
Limbaugh, who turned 70 in January, has been off the air since February 2nd.
The longtime conservative news star was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by then-President Donald Trump during the 2020 State of the Union address, shortly after Limbaugh revealed his lung cancer diagnosis.
“You know, I wake up every morning, and I thank God that I did,” he told listeners in December. “There will probably be, down the road, similar-type days where I will need to take a day for rest or for whatever medical challenges present themselves.”
“But the fact that I’m able to get back here and be with you is a genuine blessing, and I appreciate it and I appreciate your understanding throughout all of this,” he said.
