Seven days ago former “Baywatch” star Pamela Anderson made a racy plea to President Donald Trump.
Her request was simple: Pardon Julian Assange.

And a week later to the day, it’s rumored that the President may be considering granting the request. Trump has been reportedly considering a pardon for Assange, and may do so before the end of the year.
Pamela Anderson is just one of many advocates asking President Donald Trump to pardon the founder of WikiLeaks. She has joined former NSA leaker Edward Snowden and an Australian member of Parliament named George Christensen. Christensen claimed that Assange was unfairly targeted by Democrats, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“Hillary Clinton hates his guts,” Christensen explained in a Sky News interview, “obviously for exposing who the real Hillary was.”
“Julian Assange has been a target of the Democrats actually,” he added. He expressed hope that Trump will act on Assange’s behalf.
And to raise support for Assange, Christensen has started a petition to directly reach Trump.
The wave of support comes on the heels of news that Assange isn’t exactly living his best life. Reports say the conditions of his holding cell in London’s Belmarsh prison are “atrocious.” According to his partner — Stella Morris — Assange faces more dangers than one.
“The prison is a dangerous place,” she reportedly said. “Suicides and murders are commonplace, he is surrounded by very serious criminals, one in five are convicted of murder.”
Oh, and there’s a COVID-19 outbreak, too.
“… specifically in Julian’s wing,” Morris noted.
There has been no official word from the White House, and no statement has been made by Trump’s administration. Based on Euronews reporting, a trial to determine Assange’s fate is set for January 4, where he could potentially face up to nearly 200 years in prison for his sophisticated crimes.
