Democrat senators reveal major election truth

Earlier this year, Congress came together to deliver coronavirus stimulus to millions of Americans and businesses in desperate need of help.

Many thought it was a sign of things to come.

But the global pandemic surged on and months have gone by with citizens waiting empty-handed while both sides of Congress quarrel with each other over another relief bill.

It’s no secret that liberals have rejected multiple proposals by the GOP to strike a deal.

And the Democrats are now admitting: It was all about the election.

First, it was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., who admitted they withheld the relief.

Then it was Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

On Wednesday, Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin.

Durbin was recently on CNN when he was asked point-blank by anchor Jake Tapper if Pelosi and Senate Minority Lead Chuck Schumer made a mistake by rejecting a reported $1.8 trillion stimulus package before the election.

Here’s what Durbin said:

There was some exuberance involved because an election was coming, and they were both bidding one another and trying to find some common ground. They didn’t reach that point. But to return to those pre-election days and sentiments, political sentiments is very difficult

We are looking at the reality now of a new president coming on board.

So there it is.

Because the Democrats think Biden’s new presidency is imminent, they’re now willing to make a deal.

In other words, Durbin is admitting that liberal leaders simply had no interest in handing President Donald Trump a political win just before the election… no matter the cost to the economy and health of Americans.

Pelosi herself said that the idea of having a Democratic president was a “game-changer” in negotiations.

For months, Democrats refused to drop their partisan demands and move away from their unrelated far-left wishlist.
