Liz Warren demands White House favor from Biden

When Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., dropped out of the 2020 race, it seemed like her dreams of being in the White House were dashed.

But Warren thinks she has an opportunity now.

Maybe not behind the Resolute Desk… but instead in the cabinet.

According to Politico, the Massachusetts senator wants to angle her way onto Pennsylvania Avenue by way of Democratic contender Joe Biden.

Warren wants to be the treasury secretary should Biden win the election.

Warren, just a year ago, had been a frontrunner among Democrats for the nomination. But pundits say she peaked early — too early — and came crashing down hard.

So when she dropped out of the race, she rallied for Biden with an official endorsement in April. She’s looking to see that support come full circle in the election Tuesday, and according to Boston.com she’ll be campaigning for the former Vice President in New Hampshire. Her move is reminiscent of the time she was angling to be on Barack Obama’s team during his White House run.

So she’s looking for political favors in return for helping Biden’s campaign.

When recently interviewed by a local Boston radio station, however, she downplayed her aspirations of treasury secretary.

“I’m not gonna focus at all on having an eye on what to do after November 3,” she told WGBH.. “Right now — focus, focus, focus. We’ve got to make it through November 3. We’ve got to win.”

“I think the door’s gonna open a crack here for real change in this country,” Warren added.
