2020 election “a lot closer” than media claims, says Biden insider

We’re sure you’ve heard it by now.

Polls, polls, polls.

President Donald Trump is down big in the polls to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden — just like he was to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Inside the campaign, a prominent aide said the vice president’s camp is still very anxious.

In fact, campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said election is a dead heat. She took to Twitter to warn liberal voters with less than three weeks to go until the vote is decided.

It’s “far closer” than people on social media think, she cautioned.

“The next few weeks are going to be hard,” Dillon added.

Those double-digit Biden blowout projections from the media may all just be one big mirage.

“Early voting is already underway in many states,” Dillon said. “Millions of voters have already cast their ballots. But there is still a long way to go in this campaign, and we think this race is far closer than folks on this website [Twitter] think.”

“Like a lot closer.”

Now: Early voting is already underway in many states. Millions of voters have already cast their ballots. But there is still a long way to go in this campaign, and we think this race is far closer than folks on this website think. Like a lot closer. (4/?)

As a battleground state director for former President Barack Obama in 2008 and his deputy campaign manager for 2012, Dillon has experience reading the polls. As the top aide to Biden, it’s likely Dillon is seeing more detailed data that more accurately reflects the pulse of Americans.

This is her third election alongside Biden — and she’s sounding the alarm.

A plethora of legacy media outlets, pundits and other political talking heads are ready to write off this election. But those inside Biden’s camp warn this thing is long from finished.

Biden and the Democrats are still haunted by the nightmares of what happened last election, and they know in order to win they need to drive voter turnout.

Regardless of whatever narrative the poll numbers are telling, Trump still undoubtedly has a rabid and enthusiastic fan base of support that’ll push him through the finish line.

Hillary Clinton found that out the hard way.

Biden could be next to go to school.
