Clint Eastwood court showdown begins

Clint Eastwood has made a career dueling bad guys from the wild west.

Now, he finds himself in a battle with … cannabis cowboys!?

The Hollywood icon made headlines after suing multiple CBD companies for claiming he’s retiring from the movie business in order to sell CBD. The companies, he and his legal team claim, used his image falsely and without his permission.

According to The New York Post, two lawsuits were filed against the companies with the Los Angeles federal court.

Eastwood says the companies marketed fake news that he endorsed the company’s products.

One of the targets of the lawsuit is an article that featured a picture of Eastwood on the “Today” show, claiming he waS promoting the brand.

“This was a really, really difficult decision for me,” he was falsely quoted saying.

The “Dirty Harry” star wasn’t the only one featured. The ad included alleged testimonials from NFL legend Terry Bradshaw, actor Michael J. Fox, and country star Garth Brooks.

But the Eastwood team says it’s all fake.

According to court documents obtained by The Post: “Mr. Eastwood has no connection of any kind whatsoever to any CBD products and never gave such an interview.”

And it doesn’t end there.

The Eastwood team has included 10 more companies — including Sera Labs Inc., Greendios, and For Our Vets LLC — they allege used his name to attach to the CBD for marketing and sales purposes.

A representative from Eastwood’s blasted the defamatory ad, saying, “It’s no different than putting a billboard in front of a CBD shop with a picture of Mr. Eastwood and saying that the shop sells ‘Clint Eastwood CBD products,’ in order to entice customers into its store, only to sell them different products that have nothing to do with Mr. Eastwood.”
