Biden’s VP pick — 3 left?

Joe Biden’s choice for Vice President is narrowing rapidly. According to one conservative writer, there are only three women left to choose.

The list features a favorite, a dark horse, and a rising star.

Joe Cunningham of RedState says that it’s either Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., New Mexico Governor Lujan Grisham, or Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.

Forget about the rest, he says.

Cunningham, like many other political pundits, sees Harris as the clear frontrunner.

Experts think her experience as both a district attorney and attorney general gives her a clear cut edge over the field, particularly as the 2020 election increasingly becomes about police reform and restoring law and order.

The Atlantic claimed that Harris has intentionally shied away from the spotlight in order to prevent stumbles or gaffes that may mess up her chances of getting the nod.

Her history with Biden — when she infamously attacked him for supporting segregated bussing — is a big enough hurdle she’s had to answer questions about.

According to rumors, Biden voters haven’t forgotten the vicious attack.

Should the former Vice President choose otherwise, Cunningham writes that Gov. Grisham should be an option for the Biden campaign to help him make inroads with the Hispanic voters he struggled to convince in the primaries.

Cunningham calls her a potential “spoiler” to Harris.

And lastly, Mayor Bottoms is a political figure whose risen to celebrity amid the civil unrest in America.

The Democratic leader has received praises on both sides of the aisle for condemning the mass rioting and looting in her home city. Her claim to fame is her direct address to vandals, demanding that they “go home.”

Cunningham notes that for Biden and his campaign, the pick would signify a commitment to leading with progressive policies — which would undoubtedly make the far-left happy.
