Hillary Clinton caught in fake news embarrassment

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is regarded by her critics as a very dishonest person — and that may be an understatement.

So it should be no surprise she was caught spreading “fake news” in order to attack President Donald Trump.

David Axelrod, a senior advisor of former President Barack Obama, shared a fake photo online of a darkened White House and claimed Trump was “hiding” while violent looting was happening in Washington, D.C.

It quickly gained momentum on social media. The picture was shared hundreds of thousands of times on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.

But the picture being shared was actually from 2015 during the Obama administration.

Additionally, The Washington Examiner reported that the photo had been altered to make the White House appear darker than it normally is.

People who work regularly in the White House — or, in Hillary’s case lived in the White House for 8 years — know this.

Even CNN quickly debunked Axlerod’s claim.

CNN Senior White House correspondent Kaitlin Collins replied to the viral photo that the lights in the White House go out every day at 11:00 p.m. Eastern time. CNN reporter Allie Malloy responded with photographic evidence.

That didn’t stop Hillary from sharing the faked photo, of course.

It’s worth noting that no Twitter “fact check” has been put on the faked photo.
