Fox News’ Sean Hannity has become a singular voice on the network in previous weeks, receiving praise from liberal late night host Jimmy Kimmel and breaking with his friend President Donald Trump over coronavirus ocial distancing.
Now, Page Six is reporting that Hannity is headed for a new break.
He and his wife of twenty years are officially divorced.
Page Six that Hannity and his wife, Jill Rhodes, had both been separated for years and legally divorced a year ago.
According to sources, the split was kept quiet.
Rumors only began to fly when Rhodes was absent at recent Fox News events featuring Hannity.
Their legal representatives issued a joint statement to various outlets on the situation, saying “They maintain a close relationship as parents to their children. Neither will have any further comments and ask for the sake of their children that their privacy be respected.
“Sean and Jill are committed to working together for the best interests of their children. Amicable agreements were entered into over four years ago between Sean and Jill.”
Multiple news sources including Us Weekly and People confirm that the two remain on good terms.
It is said among media pundits that Hannity believes he owes his entire television career to Rhodes, and even dedicated his first book — Let Freedom Ring: Winning the War of Liberty Over Liberalism — to her and their children.
“The most important acknowledgment I make is to my family — my wife, Jill, and my two children, Patrick and Kelly, to whom I dedicate this book,” he wrote in 2002. “They are the ones who put up with the long work hours I needed to invest in this project. They are the ones who make it worth doing — and who make my life complete and happy on more levels than I can explain. I am blessed to have them in my life.”
