Celebrities exposed in ugly anti-Trump smear

Liberals love to claim that “facts matter” when it’s convenient for them.

But let’s face it — they never miss a chance to spread the most ridiculous lies about President Donald Trump.

And celebrities didn’t skip a beat when they began spreading lies that the President was friendly with the Minneapolis cop involved in the death of George Lloyd.

The nation is reacting with outrage over the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd. Video surfaced of Floyd, in his final moments, pleading for a Minneapolis police officer identified as Derek Chauvin to stop kneeling on his neck.

Memes and photos started circulating online claiming that Chauvin had appeared with Trump at a Minneapolis rally and that Trump had praised him.

Prominent social media figures and even celebrities like rapper Ice Cube and famous author Don Winslow helped spread the information.

The only problem? The story is fake and total garbage.

Minneapolis police union president Lt. Bob Kroll confirmed that the man in the photo was not Chauvin … nor was it anyone else involved with the Floyd death.

In fact, Kroll practically begged reporters to crack down on the fake news being spread.

“Can you put a stop to the false narrative please?” Kroll told the Associated Press. “None of the officers in the incident were near the Trump rally.”

The person shown in some photos with the “Make Whites Great Again” hat is actually a well-known Internet troll (and not a cop at all), although he claims the photo was altered and he was never wearing such a hat.

The death of George Floyd is tragic enough. The fact that Trump’s enemies are trying to score cheap political points off of it is beyond sickening.

And, ironically, social media giants are letting them get away with it while they attack Trump instead. Early this morning, Twitter censored a Trump tweet saying military force and perhaps shooting would be used to corral riots and looting in Minneapolis.

Twitter said the tweet glorified violence and violated its terms of service.
