An 18-year-old Helena man is charged with threatening to shoot a boy for sharing information about a subplot of the new “Star Wars” movie during an online conversation.
Arthur Charles Roy was charged with felony assault with a weapon Monday during an appearance in Lewis and Clark County Justice Court. He remains jailed with his bail set at $10,000.
Prosecutors allege Roy became angry Thursday when he learned details about the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” from a Facebook friend.
Court records said he sent the friend a picture of himself with a gun and threatened to come to the victim’s school to shoot him.
Helena’s alternative high school was locked down Friday morning. Police arrested Roy on Friday afternoon.
It’s unclear whether Roy has obtained a lawyer. A public defender is representing him in an ongoing separate case.

So no one sees anything at all wrong with this ? We are talking about kids here not members of ISIS ! So because of this you feel it’s ok to traumatize a kid and let the system mark him for life ! People are getting so security conscious that pretty soon we will not be able to even have a bad thought about anything without fear of arrest ! We are human beings and it is our nature to get upset when things do not go the way we think it should , but to arrest a grade school kid for pointing a finger like a gun , or to arrest someone for having a gun in a picture is asinine ! Pretty soon we will not be able to see a movie because there is some action that may upset someone else ! I am glad I am getting ols so I probably not see the 1984 that is coming just 30 years late !!
