Kim Jong Un “dropped dead” according to bizarre video

The Kim Jong Un rumors continue to pile up.

Dead, disappeared, or alive and well –– these have all been floated as possible theories on the whereabouts of the North Korea leader as his absence baffles the world.

The latest claim came from a bizarre video that leaked out of North Korea. The video claims that Kim dropped dead during an inspection on Apr. 25 –– and that his younger sister Kim Yo Jong is preparing to succeed the dictator.

But the five-minute video reused footage from the funeral of Kim Jong Il (Kim Jong Un’s father) and an image of a fake news article.

Experts say the clip looks professional … so much so that it looks exactly like Korean Central Television, North Korea’s state-run TV service which programs what its citizens watch 24/7.

But media reports –– including website Daily NK –– are claiming the video is fake.

So far that hasn’t stopped it from spreading rapidly through North Korea.

North Korean police are on the hunt for who leaked the video and, according to The Sun, they’ve set up a task force specifically to track it down. Based on a New York Post report, officials are tracking any and everyone who has made a text or phone call outside of the country.

Some sources insist that the video was released by China.

President Donald Trump, meanwhile, has claimed he knows about the health of Kim, but the President spoke no further on the matter.

He did give a prediction about when the public may hear word.

“I hope he’s fine,” the president added. “I do know how he’s doing, relatively speaking. We will see. You will probably be hearing in the not-too-distant future.”

You can watch the clip below for yourself, which is narrated entirely in Korean:
