The troubled son of convicted Oklahoma City bombing co-conspirator Terry Nichols is facing kidnapping, burglary and armed robbery charges in a Feb. 6 attack on a 67-year-old man in suburban Las Vegas, authorities said Wednesday.

Joshua Isaac Nichols, 37, was being held at the Clark County jail following his arrest March 12 in what police said was the gunpoint theft of $1,700, clothing, bracelets and a cellphone from a jeweler at a home in Henderson, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported .

A defense attorney listed in court records did not immediately respond to messages.

Nichols is due in court April 7 in Henderson.

Nichols moved with his mother to Las Vegas after she divorced Terry Nichols years before the April 1995 bombing that killed 168 people at a federal building in Oklahoma City.

Terry Nichols, now 65, is serving a life sentence in federal prison for helping Timothy McVeigh in the bombing. McVeigh was executed in 2001.

Joshua Nichols has served prison time in Nevada for felony convictions dating to 2005, including armed assault, vehicle theft and resisting a police officer. He has in the past acknowledged receiving treatment for drug abuse.

A warrant was issued for an alleged accomplice in the Henderson case, the Review-Journal reported.
