Put a microphone in front of any Democrat over the last few weeks, and they would have said that they’re all in on President Donald Trump’s impeachment.

But now that the facts are coming out, that tune is quickly changing — and even CNN’s Van Jones is the latest to confess that impeachment isn’t going to work.

In fact, he said it’s a “lose-lose” situation for liberals, he said.

In an appearance on Erin Burnett’s “Outfront,” Jones said that the media storm over Trump’s impeachment is going to “take the oxygen away from [2020 Democratic presidential] candidates.”

“It’s a tricky thing, the impeachment process because for some Republicans it makes them want to rally around the flag,” he said, ” …the Democrats are in a lose-lose situation.”

“If they don’t do something, their own base is going to feel disappointed and feel like maybe Trump gets away too much,” he continued.

“If you go through with impeachment, though, you divide the country further, you take the oxygen away from your candidates, and you still don’t solve the problem of foreign interference,” Jones said. “Just because you impeach a president, it doesn’t mean you don’t still have the problem of foreign interference. It’s a big mess.”

It seems that even a CNN host somehow got it right — impeachment doesn’t solve any of the Democratic candidates’ issues.

Jones gained notoriety among conservatives when he was caught on camera saying that CNN’s coverage of the Trump-Russia conspiracy was just a “nothing burger” hoax used to drive up ratings.

Now, he’s admitting liberals are afraid to run a fair race against Trump — and shooting themselves in the foot in the eyes of American voters.

The majority of the American public says that either Trump does not deserve to the impeached — 58 percent altogether according to CBS News. Additionally, 51 percent of independents disapprove of impeachment.
