Just as disgraced former Democratic Senator Al Franken tries to make a come back… he gets himself right back into sexual assault trouble!
Franken was set to host his own SiriusXM radio show — until he was accused of groping yet another woman.
It seems he just can’t keep his hands to himself.
A woman told her story to New York Magazine. She claims to have been working for Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash. at the time.
The accuser said she and Franken were at an award ceremony, where the woman found herself in contact with Franken just before a photo op.
The two took a picture together, and Franken groped her.
In her accuser’s words: “… he puts his hand on my ass. And I’m just frozen. It’s so violating. And then he gives me a little squeeze on my buttock, and I am bright red. I don’t say anything at the time, but I felt deeply, deeply uncomfortable.”
The incident devastated her “confidence,” she said.
But that was only part of it.
The woman in question had hopes of being a cabinet member of a Democratic administration — but she feared the possibility of being turned down and being labeled as the one who ruined a top Democratic congressman’s career.
“I know that anything can be used as a flag to say, ‘Not this person,'” she said. “The idea that I would not get a job and would always wonder: Was it the article where I was the one who was raising my hand against a powerful man?”
According to New York, this is the ninth person to accuse Franken of inappropriate sexual misconduct.
