Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. doesn’t exactly hide her disdain for America.
She regularly launches savage attacks on President Donald Trump and our brave troops and law enforcement officials.
So it was no surprise that leading up to Labor Day she would pull a stunt beneath America.
Just before the holiday, Omar officially ratcheted up the crazy, by suggesting that the U.S. be invaded by foreign powers! At a town hall in Minneapolis, Omar essentially called for the protection of America’s borders to be replaced and outsourced to foreign United Nations’ workers.
Get rid of American workers, she says, and replace them with workers from other countries.
“We should do what any other country does, by dealing with this situation in a serious way,” she said. “So we have to bring in the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees – an agency that has the expertise and the training to handle massive flows of refugees humanely.”
First of all, Omar isn’t telling the truth.
Bringing in the United Nations is NOT what “any” nation does… it’s not even what “many” nations do.
And the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees (UNHCR) doesn’t just set up camps and distribute clean water and food.
The UNHCR also employs “protection workers” to act as security.
That’s not much different from foreign law enforcement agents operating on U.S. soil (those ICE officials that Democrats and liberals alike spend their time screaming at, provides the same service).
And they’d be operating with a degree of independence. In other words, if foreign agents were to come and protect American borders, they would have the right to refuse disclosing information to American law enforcement.
Foreign UN agents disregarding the U.S. military at our borders?
Suggesting we put American law enforcement officers out of work right, right around Labor Day?
Apparently, this is the kind of America Omar is seeking to build.
Omar, one of a group of first-year Congresswomen known as the “Squad,” can’t seem to keep herself out of hot water.
Earlier this week, divorce papers filed in Washington, D.C. alleged that she had an affair with a political consultant, which touched off concerns about campaign finance violations.
Now, she has a new scandal on her hands… and it’s sure to make many Americans’ blood boil.
