Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., visited a nursing home over the weekend — and the senior citizens inside had something to say!
Any hopes Harris had for a pleasant photo-op were destroyed when one woman spoke up with her opinion.
“Leave our healthcare system alone,” the woman demanded.
It began when the wheelchair-bound senior called Harris over, saying, “Can I ask you a question?”
Of course, Harris said.
“I understand that you are advocating healthcare for everyone,” the woman said.
“Yes ma’am,” Harris said.
“Who’s going to pay for it?”
Harris replied, “Well we’re gonna pay for it because, right now, let me tell you something, we’re all paying for healthcare and it’s in the emergency room…”
“No we’re not,” the woman replied. “No we’re not. Leave our healthcare system alone, we don’t want you to mess with it.”
Harris responded that she didn’t “intend to mess with” Americans’ healthcare — but critics say that’s because she doesn’t have a plan.
The California senator has flip-flopped on her healthcare promises so much that not only are Americans confused, but experts too.
Voters aren’t buying her promises — and it seems as though Harris will need to go back to the drawing board.
