It seems as though former Vice President Joe Biden is turning on his old pal Obama.
In The New York Times Magazine Biden jumped on an opportunity to bash former President Barack Obama in a candid interview.
Biden fessed up to the facts: “A lot of people were left behind,” Biden said, accusing the Obama of not doing enough for millions of Americans in the 2008 recession who were lost and vulnerable.
He continued to pile on, explaining that the Obama administration could’ve in fact given the country more effort during a time of crisis.
“I don’t think we paid enough attention to their plight.”
As for Biden, now running for president in 2020, he carries the weight of Obama’s failures. After all, as vice president for 8 years, he himself did very little.
Biden’s comments mark a shift in tone for the 76-year-old candidate — he is usually very quick to defend the obvious pitfalls of the Obama legacy at every turn.
And it’s likely that his popularity among voters is solely boosted by liberal Obama voters, who’re choosing Biden because he’s a familiar name and face.
But as President Donald Trump’s administration continues to stimulate the economy and put more Americans back to work, the Obama administration looks worse and worse.
From his massive deportation numbers of illegal immigrants, to his dismantled Iran Nuclear Deal, more and more Americans are moving on from Obama — and Biden.
Perhaps Biden is finally realizing that he’s better not associated with Obama’s name, nor his legacy, at all.
