Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh just dropped a bombshell on special counsel Robert Mueller – and it has Democrats very nervous.
Limbaugh says Mueller lied to the American people – and the conservative talkshow host says he has proof.
While discussing the report and Mueller’s press conference last week, Limbaugh revealed that Mueller was lying when he claimed that he could not “make a determination” about charges against President Donald Trump.
After two years of investigating Trump, Mueller himself was forced to admit the truth: there is no evidence of collusion and no charges were brought against the president.
While speaking from the Department of Justice last week, Mueller claimed that he would have “exonerated” Trump of not committing a crime if he was able to do so, but that he made no determination on whether Trump obstructed justice because of a DOJ policy that prohibits a sitting president from being charged.
Mueller knew two years ago about the longstanding DOJ policy, which left critics baffled.
Why did Mueller clear Trump of collusion, but claim he couldn’t clear him of obstruction?
Limbaugh’s says that Mueller laid the foundation for Democrats to keep the Russia hoax alive and push for impeachment before the 2020 election.
During his show, Limbaugh slammed the special counsel and demanded to know why Mueller’s report clearly vindicates the president, yet the former special counsel told reporters last week that he chose not to specifically declare that the president did not break the law.
Limbaugh called such a statement an “abomination” of the U.S. justice system and asked whether the entire investigation was nothing more than an attempt to help Democrats impeach Trump.
“How about this? ‘If we had confidence the president clearly did commit a crime, we would have said so.’ That’s the way it’s supposed to be. ‘If we had evidence the president committed a crime, we would have damn well said so.’ It’s not, ‘If we had confidence the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so.’ That’s not what the job is. And then he goes on to say we couldn’t have indicted him anyway because of Justice Department guidelines,” Limbaugh said.
“But then this next: ‘We did not, however, make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime.’ Well, go tell that to Jerry Nadler and Elizabeth Warren and the rest, ’cause they sure as hell think that you have. ‘We did not make a determination as to whether the president did commit a crime,’” Limbaugh continued.
“Yes, you have!” Limbaugh said. “You have done everything you can to imply that he did and that you just couldn’t find it! That’s what makes me so livid. This guy in his righteousness sitting here saying that, ‘we did not make a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.’”
Mueller said he could not exonerate the president, but then published a 400-page report stating that there was no evidence of collusion or obstruction. By definition, that clears the president.
Limbaugh’s point is that Mueller was appointed to investigate and make a final determination in the case.
Did Mueller know the entire time that he was never going to indict Trump and that there was no collusion or wrongdoing?
Was Mueller’s grand plan to lay the groundwork for Democrats to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump and use his report to frame the president as being guilty?
Sadly, Limbaugh may be right about it all.
