Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton is teaming up with her mom, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
According to Fox News, no one in America is interested in what they’ve just announced.
Hillary and Chelsea are forming a television production company. According to multiple reports, their production company will feature stories on women’s issues.
In other words, they’re trying to get Hillary on as many American television channels as possible to lecture Americans about women’s rights.
The news wasn’t well received by critics.
“No one wants to watch Hillary,” Fox News’ Jesse Waters told his co-hosts on Monday’s “The Five”.
“Americans had their choice,” Waters said. “She ran for president twice and they were both like, ‘Click, next guy.'”
Insiders say the two want to copy former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, who signed a multi-million dollar production deal with Netflix in 2018.
A top television executive told Deadline the project was going to be a cash bonanza for the Clintons.
“Hillary is still very popular [in Hollywood] and there have been conversations with several studios and streamers about working on projects together,” the executive said, but noted that nothing was completely certain.
Hillary isn’t alone; Chelsea has spent time as a television personality in the past.
“She was hired as a special correspondent for NBC News’ Making A Difference’ show in 2011 with an annual salary of $600,000,” according to The Daily Caller. “Chelsea’s yearly salary and lack of reporting experience drew criticism from many. Her time at NBC lasted for a little less than three years.”
Not everyone is convinced the Clinton production company will be a hit.
“She’s boring,” Waters said. “She has boring taste. I don’t think anybody cares what is she is into. This is a vanity project for herself and Chelsea. Don’t they have enough propagandists in the media?”
“They have the newspapers, they have the networks,” Waters complained. “What more do they want?”
