President Donald Trump wasn’t having any of liberal Hollywood’s nonsense Sunday night. “BlacKkKlansman” director Spike Lee took home the award for best adapted screenplay — in doing so he took an obvious dig at the commander-in-chief, urging Americans to “make the moral choice between love versus hate.”
As if making movies grants some kind of moral authority.
Trump quickly prepared words in response to Lee Monday morning —
Be nice if Spike Lee could read his notes, or better yet not have to use notes at all, when doing his racist hit on your President, who has done more for African Americans (Criminal Justice Reform, Lowest Unemployment numbers in History, Tax Cuts,etc.) than almost any other Pres!

It’s no secret at all that the African American unemployment rate dipped below six percent at the conclusion of 2018. Last week, Trump celebrated Black History Month in the White House East Room where economists acknowledge the strides made under his administration.
Perhaps the famed “Malcolm X” director was batting a blind eye to all of that. He may have been distracted by his highly politicized film, in which he used footage from Charlottesville to remind us all how divided the country is.
In Lee’s acceptance speech, he had this to say:
“The 2020 presidential election is right around the corner. Let’s all mobilize.Let’s all be on the right side of history. Make the moral choice between love versus hate. Let’s do the right thing.”
But Lee wasn’t the only one to drag politics into the award ceremony. Like most Hollywood award shows, the Academy Awards was filled with angry Trump messages right from the beginning.
Actress Maya Rudolph began the show by attacking Trump and saying that Mexico was not paying for the wall. “There is no host, there won’t be a popular movie category and Mexico is not paying for the wall.”
Actor Javier Bardem also chose to indirectly dig at the White House, saying “There are no borders that can restrain ingenuity and talent.”
Apart from the virtue signaling from Hollywood liberals, an award ceremony was taking place. Here’s how things shaped up at the 91st annual Oscars.
The segregation-era road-trip drama “Green Book” was crowned best picture at the 91st Academy Awards, delighting those who see the film as a feel-good throwback but disappointing others who ridicule it as an outdated inversion of “Driving Miss Daisy.”
Lee was so angry it won he had a “public freakout.”
“Lee clearly was furious, got up and walked toward the back of the auditorium in a huff,” Deadline reported. “He then turned back and appeared to get into an intense conversation with Jordan Peele, who was behind him. Lee paced the aisle and stormed to the back of the auditorium. When he came back, he turned his back to the stage during the speech.”
He later held a strange press conference and explained the “refs made a bad call” while drinking champagne.
