Kamala Harris stumped by Trump’s clever political move

California Sen. Kamala Harris wants to take on President Donald Trump in the 2020 election — but she has to face him in California first.

Trump just won their opening exchange so badly, Harris was left fuming to the media about his unfair tactics.

The Trump administration has re-nominated two conservative California judges to the Ninth Circuit federal appeals court — the liberal court that oversees California — despite Harris’ rabid opposition.

“We are deeply disappointed that the White House has chosen to re-nominate Daniel Collins and Kenneth Lee to the Ninth Circuit,” Harris fumed in a joint statement with fellow California Sen. Diane Feinsten late Wednesday.

Trump also put forward a new third nominee, Daniel Bress, to begin swinging the court back towards the middle.

“We made clear our opposition to these individuals and told the White House we wanted to work together to come to consensus on a new package of nominees,” the two liberal senators complained.

The White House simply bypassed negotiations with Harris and Feinstein, which is normally done out of professional courtesy, after the two refused to budge on their far-left demands.

Trump had announced the re-nomination of 51 federal judicial nominees last week, part of his administration’s effort to continue it’s record-setting pace for installing conservative judges in 2019.

Collins and Lee, however, were not initially re-nominated again.

The White House reached out to Harris and Feinstein to offer negotiations to them.

Apparently the two didn’t want to play ball — so Trump ignored their complaints and put up the two judges they didn’t want.

The ninth circuit court has been a thorn in conservative activist’s side for decades.

Trump’s decision to bypass the objections of liberal senators received praise from his political allies.

“I’m very supportive of the nominees submitted by President Trump to serve on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals,” South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, Republican, said in a statement. “These are highly qualified nominees and I am hopeful they will receive wide bipartisan support. These nominations continue a trend by the Trump Administration of selecting highly qualified men and women to serve on the federal bench.”
