Porn star Stormy Daniels told members of the Oxford Union on Thursday that politics and President Donald Trump have “completely ruined” her career.
At an event called “Sex, Guns and Other Fluff: How Porn Can Set You Free,” Daniels told the audience that she has had no time over the last 10-months to focus on her adult film career.
“I had no idea what I was getting myself into,” Daniels said. “Nor would I realize what a huge impact the circus would have, not only on my life, but the rest of the world.”
Not once did Daniels admit to the audience that she got herself into this apparent career nightmare.
Daniels made the decision to violate her non-disclosure agreement with the president, to hire attorney Michael Avenatti, and to take her circus show public. And yet, she claims that Trump ruined her career.
According to her Twitter feed, Daniels has not taken a break from her adult film career, rather, she is still promoting her strip shows and selling subscriptions to her videos online.
Daniels told the Oxford Union that she is not missing out starring in videos, but instead on writing her own porn films — which she claims is her “favorite” part of the industry.
“I write the script down, I do the budget, I do the shoot schedule, I pick out the wardrobe,” she told the audience.
But don’t worry, Daniels added, “I’ll probably never leave the adult film industry,” and that she was only taking “an unofficial break.”
She told the Oxford Union that “The adult film industry is the only profession I can think of where the women earn double that of the men.”
Daniels even suggested that since engaging in politics, she has concluded that it is a “much dirtier job than mine.”
During the Thursday evening event, Daniels also addressed the ongoing scandal involving her lawyer, Avenatti, who was recently arested over domestic assault allegations.
She said, “right now they’re just allegations and I’m gonna reserve judgement.”
Daniels added, “If the allegations turn out to be true, then I will definitely be seeking new representation.
