Footage of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg leaving the hospital has gone viral — and it has supporters of the liberal judge terrified.
Video of Ginsburg leaving the hospital Friday illustrates just how frail the longtime justice has become in recent years.
Nominated by former President Bill Clinton in 1993, Ginsburg has been a reliably liberal vote on the Supreme Court. If she were to retire, it would give President Donald Trump and Senate Republicans the chance to lock in a third conservative Supreme Court justice.
That idea of a solidly conservative Supreme Court for generations is terrifying Trump’s critics.
Despite being hospitalized after falling in her office last week, the 85-year-old Ginsberg has insisted she had no plans to hang up her robe. Her personal trainer told The Cut, “To all the stressed out people in America, remember that the justice is TAN. Now, I always use that acronym: TAN. She’s tough as nails. You think three ribs are going to stop Justice?”
The hidden camera footage of the elderly justice leaving doctor’s care hints at a different story.
Gingerly, Ginsburg slowly rises from her wheelchair and spends nearly 30 seconds trying to get into the back of an awaiting car.
She needed assistance from three attendants to stand and walk the two feet to her car.

Over the weekend, Trump sent well wishes to the ailing justice.
“I wish her well. She said something very inappropriate during the campaign, but she apologized for it,” Trump said.
“I wouldn’t say she’s exactly on my side, but I wish her well I hope she gets better and I hope she serves on the Supreme Court for many years,” the president added.
Other critics, though, say it’s dangerous for her to keep working with such serious health concerns.
