CNN busted fixing botched election interview (must see!)

CNN reporter Randi Kaye was “randomly” conducting interviews at a rally for Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum on Friday.

She came across a woman who said that former President Barack Obama had influenced her to vote for Gillum.

Turns out that “random” woman was Gillum’s mother, Francis, and she suggested that she only made her mind up to vote for her son because of the former president’s support.

Gillum, who is running against Republican Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis, held a rally in Miami on Friday that Obama attended.

Kaye was asking attendees of the rally, “Will Barack Obama’s presence in this race and here today influence your vote?”

And Francis replied, “Uh, I believe that it will.”

Kaye claimed that she “picked her randomly out of the crowd,” and that after interviewing the woman she realized her name sounded “strangely familiar.”

“My name is Francis Gillum and as a matter of fact my son is running for governor,” Francis told Kaye.

CNN claims that 4,000 people attended the rally, and they just so happened to have picked Gillum’s mother aimlessly.

Francis told Kaye that Obama’s support will “help [Andrew Gillum] out a lot” because “Andrew is doing well, Mayor Gillum is doing well, on his own, but with [Obama] here, that’s just gonna make it that much better.”
