Missouri prof caught attacking reporter? [video]

University of Missouri protesters have spent this week demanding respect and the right to be heard by the campus community. But it doesn’t look like they’re giving much respect in return.

An outrageous video has surfaced of a mob of protesters intimidating and shoving reporters trying to cover a demonstration. And a Missouri professor was apparently right in the thick of it, egging the protesters on.

In the video, the students gang up against one reporter – identified as ESPN freelance reporter Tim Tai – and physically force him away.

The group shoves into Tai and blocks his view, and then one-by-one protesters begin confronting him. Tai pleaded with the protesters to allow him to do his job.

According to the official Twitter account of the protester group:

It’s typically white media who don’t understand the importance of respecting black spaces.

— ConcernedStudent1950 (@CS_1950) November 9, 2015.

Tai is a student of Asian descent.

When one reporter slips through, a college professor identified by the New York Times as Professor Melissa Click attacks his camera and demands he “get out” before instructing students to help her remove the reporter.

“Who wants to help me get this reporter out of here!?” Click yells to the crowd, “I need some muscle over here.”

Protests over racial unrest at the University of Missouri have reached a boiling point this week, and demonstrators issued a list of demands, including that President Tim Wolfe “acknowledge his white male privilege.” Wolfe and the university’s chancellor resigned shortly after the school’s football team threatened to boycott games.

You can watch the outrageous video below.

Political correctness is a form of fascism. Students in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s students protested real issues and pushed for free speech. Today, they text, tweet and think life is a reality show. When they graduate they face unemployment or low wage, no benefit jobs. Not a peep out of them on those issues.

Political correctness is fascism. These students upon graduation face unemployment or low paying, no benefit jobs. Yet they think that life is a reality show. They rarely speak out on real issues.

I taught during those 60’s and 70’s. Those graduates now fill our government at all levels. Many of those students were bright and a delight to have in the classroom. However, there were those who thought they were special and demanded that their world view was the correct one. It is my way or the highway. This humanistic worldview is what infests our centers of education now. They love to control, condescend and critique everybody else. It is all about, me, I and mine. They have their cowardly social media and their immature smart mouths to demand what they think is their right or entitlement. The sad thing is that they really enjoy racism. It gives them an excuse to act like idiots. Scream, yell, push, shove, demand and truly act like early evolution monkeys. II don’t subscribe to that theory. That gives them another reason to scream. They do not deserve to ever have or get a real job. They will simply scream, that is not fair. Like they even know what that means!!!!!!

I agree with you. We have a generation of people who feel entitled to many things now. Noone wants to do anything for him/herself because they are entitled to have someone else do it for them. They know nothing about respect, humbleness, hard work, conservatism in all things. But wait until they start to starve, then as we say in my culture, when the water smacks your butt, you learn to swim very quickly. They will have no one to blame but themselves at that point and then it’s do or die, no more relying on someone else.

I went to school in the 60’s and early 70’s. I am 60 and there are many older than I. If you were teaching then, you must be in your 80’s, or older. I think you have the Wrong generation that feels entitled as we are looking at them now in this clip. We were raised by the Greatest Generation. I’m tired of Baby Boomers, being blamed for todays selfish, idiots.

Awesome response. I too enjoyed the 60’s and 70’s. Heck, you could all play or “hangout” together just having fun. No dope gangs, no shootings….just fun. Parents (and I use the plural) knew where we were and what we were doing. I never knew so much prejudice until the past seven years.

S strand. I was teaching high school chemistry, physics and biology in 1965. Hillary Rodham was a senior in high school at that time. No, I am not 80, try 73. You are right, I am referring to the Me, I and Mine generation. Yes, that is the baby boomers.
Sorry if that upsets you, but the truth is the truth. Have you read the Time Magazine article devoted to the boomers? I also have the Time Magazine article devoted to the children of the boomers. Yes, the title is the Me, Me, Me generation. For your reference, I am a member of the silent generation. Born in 1942. I remember sugar, rubber rationing. New cars not available, unless you bought them on the black market.
My parents drilled in me patriotism, respect for elders, responsibilities, obligations, NOT
my rights and my privileges. Now, does that upset you even more? How you respond, tells how you think, what you say and what you do. That IS who you ARE. right or wrong.

Ron I came from that era and my parents taught me right from wrong. We still did the prayer in class we still did the pledge of Allegiance to the flag. I was taught conservatism and as students we respected the teachers in our class rooms. Not sure what your getting at but to paint the baby boomers as all that is one large brush my friend. I was born in 1954 and what your saying about us is incorrect. Not that there were not a lot that did see it that way but your brush is too broad. I mean I had long hair at the time road motorcycles it was cheaper than a car. But I still had respect I never protested against the war nor did I disrespect the Vets coming home. Heck during the Gulf war I joined the TN State Army Guard to help out here since most of them were over seas. If you want to pick and choose a specific group OK but do not paint all of the baby boomers with your wide brush. It might get you a tongue lashing like one from me. No disrespect intended.
THANK YOU TO ALL VETS OUT THERE FOR YOUR SERVICE

Points well taken. I salute ALL vets. Remember Vietnam? Those vets were not respected when they returned from duty. Who were the people jeering them at the airports? The key to your maturity is your parents. The second point I would like to share with you is your faith basis. It is evident that your parents had that faith and demonstrated it in the presence of their children.
You will be an excellent example for the generation that follows you. If you wish to tongue lash me, that is fine. I am a minority member of our culture and wear my faith on my shirt sleeves. That is not PC in our current culture.
            Thanks for the reply.

All the students who oppose this BS should quit this school and go to another school. Once again, the small minority gets its way while the majority must change. This will only get worse as the trouble makers once again are rewarded for their protests.
    Thanks Obama, the great divider.

Every real American should see this video of this gang of screaming dictatorial “liberals” trampling on the First Amendment by bullying a reporter doing his job on public, state-owned property. And that woman professor who screams for “muscle” should be fired. She would turn America into a totalitarian society..
And that’s what I despise about far-left liberals–they believe in the law for THEIR rights–but nobody else’s.

Colleges and universities may be called higher education but that doesn’t mean the faculty and students are civilized or display the ideals one would expect from an educational institution. Too many professors see the college setting as an indoctrination opportunity. They seek to force their failed worldview on the students in their classes. These faculty are generally not enlightened, civilized or rational.

If left to its own devices higher education would create a less civilized society ruled by the elite who think they are the deciders of right and wrong.

I thought govt policy was don’t cave in to hostage takers. Real or virtual and the virtual include muslims. This protest seems so Islamic? Like they used to do in the ME, marching at the drop of the hat of perceived wrong doing by the US. It is important to note that the president of a U is not the enforcer of student behavior. Good or bad.

Is MU the first of a new type of university? One run by the football team and liberal supporters. And the FB coach. Is he next?

I just watched the attached video. It seems a little odd that these protestors have a problem with the media. They could have walked around the Asian photographer. Instead the looked like a bunch of jerks.

Its odd that so many of the people in the confrontation were white. I guess they are professional trouble makers more interested in creating chaos than in actually doing something productive.

There protest is for tolerance at the same time there actions are intolerant to every one else. They are demanding double standards just as the gay community has demanded we want special rights. Wake up no one owes you anything the day will come the very people you want the help from to get back at the whites will consume you when the times comes that is when TSHTF and your left with nothing but a cot in a fema camp and your reeducation studies. So scream all you want your day is almost at hand. And when you realize the ones your screaming at are the only ones who can save you well you can go figure what they will say to you when that time comes. So act like idiots all you want its not if any more its when.
